The Best Commuter Bike Lights

There is no denying that more and more people have started using their bicycles for transportation and it’s not hard to see why. We are more aware of global warming than ever, so more people feel inclined to stop driving everywhere, and if not for the planet, then for those soaring petrol prices. With more people interested in bicycles and taking them everywhere day and night, it’s pretty safe to say that there has also been an interest in all the accessories and necessities you need which includes bicycle lights, bells and much more. Today we’ll go over some of the best commuter bicycle lights on the market so you have a better idea of what to look for. Each one has been tried and tested by experts who ride their bikes everywhere, so you know they’re good.

The first bicycle light we’ll talk about it the ‘Fenix BC30‘. It is by far one of the best bicycle lights on the market. It has all the extras you could want in a bike light and is both great for professionals and everyday bike riders. While it comes with a bit of a pricey tag, it also comes packed with a whole lot of features some of which include a dual beam system, both close range and long distance options, shock resistance, slip resistance, warning functions, water resistance and so much more.

The second bike light we’ll talk about is the ‘Ferei BL200‘. This comes in a close second, but once again does carry a hefty price tag and is considered for professional use. It can easily illuminate anything within 200 metres which is more than enough for any bike rider. They feature a powerful light that comes with rechargeable batteries so you are always ready. It also has many strobe modes and options which make it perfect for both day time in traffic and night time trails. It is incredibly sturdy and will last you a very long time.

The ‘Cygolite Dash 350‘ is on the more inexpensive side but does well for its price tag. Another great thing about this light is that it’s really user-friendly so almost anyone can learn how it works. It’s great for the road and gives you enough light to see up ahead. It also has different strobe modes which make it great for riding in traffic, at both day time and night time. The light is of course LED so you’ll be saving power and won’t have to change it as much as a regular light. The mount is quite a simple design and made from silicone which is easier to work with than say those hard plastic clip-on bike lights.

If you want something even more basic, you should consider the ‘Cygolite Streak310‘. It is probably best known for it’s great battery life, if you don’t mind buying batteries of course. It does come with a plastic clip on mount but there is also an upgrade available for a silicone mount for just a few dollars extra. While it might not be as bright as the other bike lights, it’s price is great and you get the right amount of lighting. It also comes in a set with tail lights which is what we recommend going for if you are looking for the complete package.
